Join our Board Subcommittees
Effective altruism is more than an idea, it’s also a community of people and organisations that have made helping others a core part of their lives. We use evidence and reason to work out how to do as much good as possible. We would love for you to join us!
Effective Altruism Australia (EAA) is establishing several board subcommittees to assist our board of directors to further our impact on the world’s most pressing problems.
We seek highly motivated volunteers who have at least 10 hours per month to further EAA’s goal: to support Australians to find and fix the world’s most pressing problems. We want to alleviate global poverty, promote the principles of effective giving and effective altruism, and grow a vibrant, diverse community centred on impact. This includes our new venture, focused on helping donors to tackle climate change as effectively as possible.
To help us with key bottlenecks on that mission, we’d be particularly interested in volunteers with skills:
-
- marketing, fundraising, and public relations
- IT security and software engineering
- climate or environmental science
- law and governance
This is a remote role—all subcommittee meetings and volunteer work will take place online.
