EAGxAustralasia is the main event for the effective altruism community across Australia and New Zealand. EAGxAustralasia 2024, the eighth annual EA Global conference held in Australia, will be from November 22nd – 24th 2024 at Aerial UTS in Sydney.

EAGxAustralia 2023 was held in September 2023, bringing together over 270 people from Australia, New Zealand, and around the world to engage with how to solve the world’s most pressing problems.

What is EAGx?

EAGx (Effective Altruism Global X) is a series of independently organised conferences that bring the ideas of effective altruism to local and regional communities worldwide. These events are inspired by and affiliated with the larger Effective Altruism Global (EAG) conferences but are tailored to specific geographic areas or focus topics. See a list of other global events here. 

EAGxAustralasia is part of this global network, focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities in the Australia-New Zealand region while connecting participants to the broader global EA movement.

Effective Altruism Australia (ABN 87 608 863 467) is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient by the Australian Taxation Office. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia.
